District Court Judge, retired

Graduated Sydney University in Arts (1960) and Law (1964).

Admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1964 and subsequently in ACT, Northern Territory and Victoria.

A Partner of Hunt & Hunt for 25 years, retiring as Senior Partner 30 June 1992. Then a consultant for next year.

Main area of legal interest had been Insurance Law especially relating to personal injury in New South Wales and interstate and also product liability especially relating to Japanese business.

Had practiced extensively in the New South Wales Compensation Court and has spoken frequently on personal injury topics at seminars and the like.

From 1982 — 1986 acted on nomination from the Law Society as a Civil Arbitrator for the District and Local Courts.

A former Alderman of Sydney City Council.

Has served on Boards of public and private companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Former Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Chairperson of the Workcover Authority of New South Wales from its inception to September 1993.

Appointed Judge of the Compensation Court of New South Wales on 9 September 1993, and following the closure of that Court a Judge of the District Court from 1 January 2004.

Member of the External Advisory Board of the Sydney School of Medicine of the University of Notre Dame.
