Maintains an active clinical practice in GI oncology and a key role in new drug development initiatives.
A founding member of AGITG and the Chair since 1996.
Served as a Board Member of a variety of funding agencies and member of several grants committees.
Helped establish the Lorne Cancer Conference in 1987.
Member of advisory boards for a number of national and multinational pharmaceutical companies.

2000-2002 was President of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia.
Past member of the Board of the Cancer Alliance Network (CAN).
Member of the Board of the NSW Cancer Institute.
