Prof/Director of the Division of Haematology and Medical Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac), Melb, since 1997. Chief Medical Officer at Peter Mac since 2007.

Maintains an active clinical practice in GI oncology and a key role in new drug development initiatives.

A founding member of AGITG and the Chair since 1996.

Served as a Board Member of a variety of funding agencies and member of several grants committees.

Helped establish the Lorne Cancer Conference in 1987.

Member of advisory boards for a number of national and multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Other professional committees: 2000-2002 was President of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia.

Past member of the Board of the Cancer Alliance Network (CAN).

Member of the Board of the NSW Cancer Institute.

Member of the Board of Cancer Trials Australia.
