Colorectal Surgery

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Head of the colorectal surgical unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is a clinical senior lecturer in Surgery at the University of Adelaide. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons and is an accredited member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australasia (CSSA). He is Associate Editor of the Journals: Diseases of the Colon and Rectum and the Chinese Journal of Coloproctology He is Chairman of the Calvary Hospital Clinical Review Committee and is a member of Ashford Hospital Clinical Review Committee.

His special interest is the performance and development of laparoscopic colorectal surgery.

He has developed and is supervising a new postgraduate course “Masters in Minimally Invasive Surgery” through the University Of Adelaide.

He is the Chief Investigator in a multi-centered randomised controlled trial comparing resection of colon cancer by laparotomy to resection by a laparoscopic assisted approach.
