GI Cancer Institute
During 2002 the ground work was laid for the establishment of a new division of the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG), the GI Cancer Institute. One of the important aims of the GI Cancer Institute is to raise awareness of gastro-intestinal cancers in the community.
The organisation was launched nationally in Canberra on June 10, 2003, and in the mainland state capitals during 2003. The launches were attended by many people from the community.
