Avner’s Fund has partnered with the GI CANCER Institute to fund an AGITG clinical research project to identify specific “markers” that will determine the best treatment for patients.

The AGITG is the national clinical trials centre for all Gastro-Intestinal cancers and has directed over $20 million in recent years in the pursuit of better cancer treatments. With the help of the Avner Fund continued research into pancreatic cancer is driving improvements in its treatment.

During the development of the Trial international pancreatic specialist Professor Margaret Tempero, Chief of the Division of Medical Oncology, University of California San Francisco worked closely with our Australian specialists to devise this world leading study.
